Board of Management and PTA

The Board of Management decides on all policies, staffing issues and deals with any problems that arise on a regular basis.

 

The BOM consists of eight people:

Parent Teacher Association—PTA

 

You may all as well get familiar with the abbreviation PTA as you will a lot about and from them! The PTA is a group of parents with a teacher representative who can advise the Board about various things, who can ask the Board for things and who do a lot for the children (think of organising fun days), parents (such as extra insurance cover, sale of school books) and the school (the dreaded FUNDRAISING).

 

This school year they have organised the X-mas raffle, the school calendar (isn’t it beautiful?), school photographs and The Book Fair. The Summer Fete is still to come.

There is a meeting for Lucan East parents at Lucan East Educate Together National School on Wednesday 10th May at 7.30pm to talk about the Fun Day. To make this a success we need lots of support so please come along on Wednesday to find out how you can help.
